The CCC is officially closing its doors

The Canada Career Consortium regrets that it will be officially closing its doors as of March 31, 2008. Its priority in these last months has been to ensure the CCC resources remain readily accessible to the career development community. Many of you will have seen our call for expressions of interest and we are pleased to announce that all the CCC resources have found new homes as follows:

  • NIDS and workapedia.ca will remain active through the BC-based Association of Service Providers for Employability and Career Training (ASPECT);
  • Destination 20/20 (the School Edition) will go back to its original developers, the National Life/Work Centre; and
  • All other electronic resources will be made freely available via the Canadian Career Development Foundation's Career Clearinghouse (www.ccdf.ca). Free resources will include the following:
    • A Career Development Resource for Parents;
    • Essential Skills Poster
    • Career Directions
    • Destination 20/20
    • Ignition
    • Getting Started
    • Planning for Success
    • The Work Handbook
    • Canada Prospects 2006 and 2007
